Summer Care
Our Summer Program at Brookridge Day School in Overland Park, Kansas offers students a fun, fulfilling summer experience that blends engaging activities with meaningful academic review. Led by teachers who specialize in supporting the development of both gross and fine motor skills, our program keeps children active, learning, and growing all summer long.
The summer schedule offers families greater flexibility in both programming and attendance. Families may choose either full-time or part-time enrollment, with tuition rates structured accordingly.
Full-time Enrollment
Full-time enrollment is based on a 10-week summer program and includes the option for up to two weeks of vacation. Weekly tuition varies by age and grade level, including beginning preschool, potty-trained three-year-olds, preschool, kindergarten, and students who have completed first, second, third or fourth grade.
For students in kindergarten through Grade 4, summer tuition may differ from the regular school-year rate, reflecting the unique structure and offerings of the summer program.
Part-time Enrollment
Part-time enrollment allows families to select any two or three days per week throughout the 10-week summer session, providing flexibility while still offering a consistent and enriching experience.
All families enroll under a summer contract for the duration of the session, choosing either full-time or part-time enrollment. This consistent tuition commitment ensures we can maintain and deliver a high quality, structured summer program.
Summer Specials & Activities
Each week features special themes and engaging activities, making every day exciting and unique. Students stay active and engaged through a variety of hands-on experiences, with plenty of opportunities for creativity, exploration, and fun.
We also take full advantage of the summer weather with water play activities throughout the season. From sprinkler days and swim lessons to water experiments and outdoor games, students enjoy a refreshing and active summer experience designed to make the most of warm weather learning.

The summer schedule allows for more flexibility, both in activities and choice of attendance. Our families have the opportunity to choose full-time or part-time attendance with rates based accordingly.
Full-time Enrollment
A full-time enrollment requires a commitment to attend at least eight out of the ten weeks. Weekly tuition for each age or grade category may vary. These categories include: beginning preschool, potty-trained beginning preschool children (that are three years of age), preschool, kindergarten, or students having completed first, second or third grade may vary.
Children (kindergarten through Grade 4) coming for the summer have a tuition rate that may be different per week than those who attend Brookridge Day School during the school year.
Part-time Enrollment
A part-time enrollment offers families a chance to choose any 2 or 3 days of the week throughout the 10-week summer session.
In short, families would be under contract, either part-time or full time, from beginning of and throughout the summer. Your commitment to regular tuition payments (cash, check or Tuition Express) provides the necessary means of assuring that our contract teachers are able to be at the helm of a summer recreation program of the highest quality.
Summer Specials & Activities
